The SILA brand was created to pay tribute to the Sila National Park in Calabria, a region in the south of Italy where the founders of our company were from. In Calabrian cuisine, pork is the preferred meat of choice. Preserving meat such as, sausage, ham and salame, keeps these meats fresh throughout the year. Calabria is well known for its’ Soppressata di Calabria PDO, Capocollo di Calabria PDO, Pancetta di Calabria PDO, and Salsiccia di Calabria PDO.
